Step 1: Visit the TurboTax Download Page

  1. Open your web browser and go to installturbotax.com or TurboTax.ca/download for Canada.

  2. Sign in to your Intuit account. If you don’t have an account, create one using your email address.

Step 2: Enter Your License Code

  1. Locate the license code from your email confirmation or retail purchase. It is a 16-character alphanumeric code.

  2. Enter the code in the designated box and click "Continue" to verify your purchase.


Step 3: Choose the Right Version

  1. Select the TurboTax version you purchased (Basic, Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business).

  2. Click on the Download button to start downloading the installation file.

Step 4: Install TurboTax on Your Computer

  1. Once the download is complete, open the installation file.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install TurboTax.

  3. Accept the terms and conditions, then click Next to continue.
